Insecurity: Zaria residents, clerics organizes special prayer for God’s intervention

Islamic Clerics, Residents of Zaria and its environs on Wednesday offered a special prayers to seek for God’s intervention in tackling and stemming the rising security challenges bedeviling some parts of Zazzau Emirate and Kaduna state.

The special prayers which was attended by hundreds of residents at Kofar-Gayan low cost eid prayer ground.

A traditional title holder in Zaria the Garkuwan Makarantar Zazzau Dr Shamsuddin Aliyu, told newsmen that as a Muslim, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) enjoined us to embarked on prayers during adversities such as the current insecurity challenges, drought and other calamities.

He added that the special prayer session which was aimed at seeking divine intervention towards ending the challenges would be sustained to address the challenges.

The cleric, therefore, advised government to recruit and deploy more security personnel at strategic location in the state.

He also urged government to leveraged on technology and empower the security personnel with modern gadgets to improve surveillance to effectively stem the challenges.

He also debunk calls by the section of some country who are demanding for government to allow Nigerians owned guns and other gadgets to prevent themselves, stressing that it was not going to be good for country.

Garkuwan Makarantar Zazzau, therefore, expressed optimism that the prayers would douse the pressure on the challenges in the nations.

Similarly, Barr. Aminu Ramalan, another resident of Zaria said the prayer session was organized to seek for God’s intervention and guidance to the leaders to enable them to additional wisdom and guidance to tackle the challenge.

Ramalan advised citizens to improve interpersonal relationship and repent most sincerely before their creator to achieve a sustainable divine intervention.
