Insecurity: Miyetti Allah pledges synergy with Governments, security agencies in the fight against all forms of criminalities in the N/West

Fulani elders and leaders in Kebbi State have resolved to support federal, state and security agencies in the fight against banditry, cattle rustling, kidnapping and other forms of criminality in the society.

In separate remarks the Director-General, National President and Kebbi State Chairman of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Bello Gotomo, Alhaji Muhammadu Kiruwa, and Alhaji Attahiru Ka’oje made the declaration in Birnin Kebbi at a meeting of Fulani elders and stakeholders with Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and representatives of security agencies this Monday.

The National President of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Muhammadu Kiruwa and the Director General Bello Aliyu GOtomo affirmed commitment to collaborate with government to expose and fight criminals among Fulanis towards crime free society.

The State Chairman Alhaji Attahiru Ka’oje, two women leaders, Hajiya Hauwa’u Muhammad Jode and Hajiya Hauwa’u Argungu expressed gratitude to the government for uplifting the wellbeing of all Fulanis especially on empowerment, provision of animal feeds, loan packages, training on skill acquisition and modern milk processing for Fulani women.

In a remark, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu requested Fulani elders and leaders to be active participants in the fight against banditry and other social vices.

He reiterated commitment to restoring normality to security situation in the state as well as sustain economic empowerment and provision of education to nomadic children.

Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu advised all Fulanis to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s effort in eliminating the problem of migration by Fulani harders through restoration of grazing reserves and permanent settlement for nomads.

Former Governor of Kebbi State, Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari advised Fulani parents to enroll their children and wards into school to enable them obtain both western and religious education.

Alhaji Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari urged Fulanis to shun all forms of drug addiction but to be of good behaviour.
The former Governor commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and Fulani leaders for coming together to evolve strategies on security challenges, peace and tranquility between herdsmen and farmers.

The Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Alhaji Maigari Abdullahi Dakingari and retired Colonel Sumaye described the meeting as a welcome development towards finding lasting solution to problems of insecurity and criminality involving Fulani youths.

An Islamic cleric, Sheikh Aliyu Ladda Bunza reappraised the involvement of Fulani youths in criminal activities which he attributed to several factors.

Sheikh Ladda identified drug addiction, keeping bad company and influence of alien culture as the major causes of criminality amongst them.

He recommended collective approach among traditional rulers, religious leaders, politicians and Fulani leaders as most potent method to overcome the problem.
