Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, says, he will not remove any civil servant based on political differences or antagonism to his emergence as governor.
Dr. Nasir Idris affirmed this in response to an advice by leaders of the Izala movement who paid him solidarity visit on his ascension to power at the Government House, Birnin-Kebbi, this Wednesday.
The governor remarked that he was aware that some civil servants who are working and earning salaries and allowances from the state government have laboured to stiffle his victory at the polls by engaging in anti-party activities.
He said, nevertheless, he has forgiven all those who worked against him, pledging to be fair and compassionate to the people of Kebbi state in the task of governance.
Dr. Nasir Idris described his administration as people oriented government premised on service to humanity.
The governor thanked members of the Kaduna Izala group for the fraternal visit and prayers for successful tenure in office.
In separate remarks, the deputy National Chairman of the movement, Sheikh Abbas Jega and the Chairman, National Working Committee, Sheikh Abubakar Giro, reminded the governor that learnership entailed difficulty and hardship which demanded patience and perseverance from leaders to be able to deliver.
Both Islamic scholars preached to him to seek advice from appropriate persons before policy formulation and implementation, as well as appoint most competent people to sensitive positions, avoid divulging official secrets and ignore the antics of known and unknown enemies, the envious and hypocrites.
Among personalities present during the visit were the state Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Barrister Attahiru Maccido.
