Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has promised to do justice to all manner of people and deliver on his campaign promises to people of Kebbi State to logical conclusion.

The governor made the statement during launching of a magazine highlighting the activities, projects and achievements of his administration organised by Kaura for Governor, K4G association, under the leadership of Sanusi Muhammad Zagga held at the Banquet Hall of Presidential Lodge, Birnin Kebbi this Tuesday.

The governor commended members of the association for their unwavering support to his emergence as the Governor of the State and their philanthropic activities towards the betterment of people of the State.

‘ This association, K4G, is the first association to ask me to come out and join politics and aspire for governorship.

‘ I didn’t ask them to carry out their campaigns and activities in my name, they did it willingly by themselves.

‘ What is contained in this magazine and what people have said today is the true reflection of reality on the ground of my Government and what I did personally to people ‘, he averred.

The governor while enumerating the record of achievements of his administration on infrastructural development, education, health and agriculture within eight months in power, vowed to continue to sustain such developmental projects across the State.

‘ I have constituted boards and parastatals of Government and Educational institutions of the state. We have expended 15 billion naira on the construction, refurbishing of classrooms and procurement of learning materials .

‘ We have given out contract for the rehabilitation of General Hospitals and installation of equipment in the state.

‘ On agriculture , because we believe agriculture is pivotal to the development of Kebbi State, we have purchased 10,000 solar water pumps ,we have ordered for 25,000 CNG powered pumps, we have distributed 220 trucks of fertiliser free of charge to farmers ,we have purchased 320 trucks of grains and distributed to people of the state free.

Governor idris also stated that the state capital Birnin Kebbi,was currently being transformed into a befitting Capital in Nigeria while Yauri,Ngaski, Zuru and Argungu would benefit from 5 kilometers of road construction.

The governor also stated that his administration would distribute additional grains to people of the state free during Ramadan fasting.

The governor thanked people of Kebbi for coming out in their large number to vote for APC in last Saturday’s re-run and bye elections for Ngaski/Yauri/Shanga Federal constituency and Arewa/Dandi Federal Constituency.

In his welcome address, the Chairman, K4G, organisers of the magazine launch, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Zagga extolled the leadership qualities and visionary foresight of Governor Idris for making Kebbi State a better place.

Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Zagga explained that the magazine contained narrative of dedication and eventful activities of Kauran Gwandu to usher in a new era of peace and prosperity in the state.

The Commissioner for Youths and Sports development, Alhaji Nura Bala Fingila, informed the large gathering that governor Nasir Idris has mapped out master plan to guide the development strategy of Kebbi State under his viable leadership.

Making an overview of the magazine, the Deputy Rector, Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, Malam Isiyaku Abdullahi Easy said the magazine chronicled the path of new Kebbi State under Kauran Gwandu led administration.

Malam Isiyaku Abdullahi Easy said the magazine has been beautifully crafted by young talents both males and females detailing the monumental achievement of Governor Nasir Idris in his eight months in office.

These include placing premium on security, provision of social welfare to the people such as free distribution of grains and fertiliser, educational development, healthcare, urban development and welfare to civil servants among others.

On his part, Professor Bello Bada ,commended Governor Nasir Idris for his marvelous leadership and constituting an executive council wholly devoted to the development of Kebbi State.

Highlights of the occasion were presentation of award of excellence to Governor Nasir Idris, SSG, HOS and other government officials as well as the formal launching of the magazine which generated over one hundred million naira in donations .
