Group confers award of excellence to Katsina State Governor

The Katsina state part-time teachers forum has conferred Katsina State Governor Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari with award of Excellence. The conferment took place at assembly hall of Sir Usman Nagogo College of Arabic and Islamic Studies (SUNCAIS) katsina.

In his remarks, The Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Education Associate Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi who received the award on behalf of the State Governor, thanked the Governor for priority given to education sector since the inception of his administration to date which results increase in academic performance of the students from 18% in 2015 to 68% in 2019 in SSCE examination.

He thanked the part-time teachers for their support towardsthe realization of present administration restoration agenda of moving education forward and also their sacrifices in recognizing the government’s efforts with an award of Excellence.

The Commissioner also assured the part-time teachers government support by considering them while any opportunity come.


Earlier, the chairman of the forum Malam Mustapha Abubakar expressed their gratitude and appreciation for efforts and concerns shown on part-time by Katsina State Ministry of Education under the leadership of Hon. Commissioner Associate Badamasi Lawal Charanchi.

He added that, the given to them is due to their efforts and tremendous service to humanity and zeal for educational and societal development and improving qualitative education in the state.
Other awardee are the former Director of Ministry Unit on National Policy of Education (MUNPED) Alh. Hambali Alti K/Bai, Malam Bishir Lawal Jibia Current Director (MUNPED) and Aliyu Lawal Tambura.

The event was attended by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Alhaji Musa Abdu Dankama, all Directors serving and some retired and learned colleagues from various higher institutions of learning in the state
