Governor Makinde flag- off new roads, Bags traditional title in Bauchi

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde today performed the official ground breaking ceremony for the design & construction of Itas- Gadau road, a 24.5 kilometer awarded by the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed at of 8.5 billion naira.

Similarly, Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi performed another of Arinja-Balma & Nasaru township road project of about fifteen kilometres at awarded at 2.5 billion Naira.

Governor Makinde commended his Bauchi counterpart for the projects, describing it’s significance to the beneficiaries.

He said the road will improve access of the poor and vulnerable to basic amenities such as agricultural and will develop the economy.

The Oyo Governor thanked people of Bauchi State for electing Bala Abdulkadir as their Governor and promised to support him to succeed in the delivery of dividends of democracy.

He said the Oyo State Government is ever ready to partner with Bauchi to invest in education, agriculture, mineral resources and tourism.

Governor Makinde appreciated the presents presented to him by the Emir of Katagum and Itas Gadau Local Government.

Senator Abdul Ningi in his remarks said the road construction in Ningi is one of landmark legacies of Governor Bala in the area and called for more projects in the central zone.

Governor Bala said the road constructions are part of his efforts to fulfil many of his campaign promises to the communities.

The Governor expressed gratitude to the visiting Governor for honoring his invitation to perform the ground breaking ceremony of the project which is historic.

The Katagum Emirate Council has conferred the traditional title of Barden Yamman Katagum to the Oyo Governor as well as the presentation of two horses and cows.
