Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has lauded the new thinking of Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State whom he described as a pacesetter doing wonders.
The Governor was speaking at an event to receive two additional aircrafts in the fleet of Ibom Air owned and run by the Akwa Ibom State Government at the Victor Attah Airport Uyo.
Governor Fintiri commended his giant strides towards unlocking the economy of his State, adding that it takes committed leaders like Governor Udom to think outside the box and make a difference in governance.
Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri noted that the economic realities of the day demands new thinking, saying that is what PDP Governors are doing.
Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State elated with the unity that exists between the PDP Governors, urged them to keep the fire burning.
He commended Governor Fintiri for turning around the fortunes of Adamawa State, describing him as a dogged fighter doing very well.
He noted particularly his developmental strides in rural and urban renewal that has seen him construct the first flyover bridge in the North East.
The Akwa Ibom State Governor announced that he intends to increase to ten the fleet of Ibom Air before leaving office in 2023 and commended the management of the airline for running with his vision.
Commissioning the brand new aircrafts, the special Guest at the event and Governor of Sokoto State, Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal expressed satisfaction with the developmental strides of PDP Governors.
He noted that aviation is in the exclusive list of government at the centre and is happy that Governor Udom has dared a sector where dreamers of a national carrier have failed, and commended the Governor for taking the stakes higher.
The new airbus A220-300 series aircrafts are the newest and most advanced in the aviation industry today.
Ibom Air came into the aviation business only two years ago and now boasts of seven aircrafts in its fleet.
