Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, the Executive Governor of Taraba today paid a thank you visit to the management and Staffs of the State Security Services (SSS), at the Taraba State Command Headquarters, Jalingo. The Governor was received by the State Director of Security (SDS), in the person of Alhaji Bashir Abubakar.
In his open address, the State Director of Security enumerated a summary of the achievements of the state command within the year 2021 which included the arrest of ISWAP and Boko-Haram commanders who have infiltrated and settled in Mayo-Selbe area of Gashaka LGA of Taraba state. The arrest of Azonto a notorious gang leader of kidnappers from Benue state who also came to establish a base in Jalingo and so many kidnappers and gun-runners within the state.
The Director confirmed that these achievements would not have been possible without the consistent believe in the SSS and support from the Executive Governor of Taraba state, Architect Darius Dickson Ishaku. The Director appreciated the Governor and his government for all the support rendered to the state command and promised to do everything possible to make Taraba safe for all residents in the state.
The Governor in his responds appreciated the efforts of the state Director specifically and all the other members of staff of the state command for all their efforts and the sleepless nights they go through in order to keep the state safe from all forms of insecurity. The Governor revealed that he takes his time to read all the reports from the SSS in order to equip himself of all the security situation in the state.
He also confirmed that the chief of Mayo-Selbe has been warned severally for allowing people of questionable characters to settle in his domain but the chief often claimed that the Governor is anti fulani until when the chief’s wife was kidnapped by the same people he has adopted and protected.
The Governor used the meeting to wish the management and Staffs of the State Security Services, Taraba State Command a happy Christmas celebration and a prosperous New year in advance.
