Governor Bala lauds MMS’s 7m grant

Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has flagged off the N7 million take-off grant (cheques) to selected health facilities and schools in Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency initiated by the NASS member, Honourable Mansur Manu Soro.

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Bala applauded the member for carrying out the projects which according to him will contribute significantly to socioeconomic activities of the beneficiaries.

According to the governor, the take-off grant, construction and equipping of 6 primary health care centres, provision of ambulances for referral purposes will no doubt help in improving the living standard of the people of Darazo and Ganjuwa local governments.

Governor Bala said he is satisfied with the good representation of Mansur Manu Soro at the House of Representatives and challenged other political office holders to replicate similar projects in their various constituencies for the advancement of the state.

The Governor while expressing concern on the enrollment drive in the state, called on traditional rulers to support his administration in an effort to ensure improvement in the education system.

Earlier, the Federal Lawmaker, Honorable Mansur Manu Soro commended Governor Bala for executing developmental projects across the state.

Manu Soro said the intervention is to compliment the efforts of the governor in the health, education and other sectors to support some segments of the society, particularly the less privileged.

Soro named one of the health facilities after the wife of the Governor, the First Lady, Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed in honour of her contribution to the development of the state.

Other interventions include the distribution of 441 cell phones to women volunteers who would soon be trained in healthcare delivery in his constituency, six ambulances, newly constructed gifted schools and a special school for IDPs, Orphans and Almajiris.
