Governor Bala attends Mid year PHC MoU review, pledges more support to boost health sector

Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed participated at the 2021 mid year PHC MoU review meeting.

The Governor alongside his Borno, Yobe & Sokoto counterparts, the ED/CEO NPHCDA, Dr. Faisal Shuaib joined Mr. Bill Gates, Alh. Aliko Dangote, Hon. Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire.

Governor Bala said with the singing of the new MoU, his administration will soon release counterpart funds for effective service delivery.

According to him, the State Government has provided a lot to the health sector and will continue to do more to overcome the shortage of manpower and other critical challenges.

Governor Bala appreciated the support the State recieved from the partners for extension of period of the partnership.

He thanked all the partners for their various support to the State especially traditional rulers.

Alh. Aliko Dangote and other partners in their seperate remarks appreciated the commitment of Governor Bala in improving primary healthcare care system of the state through budget release, data and compliance with agreement.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Bauchi State Ministry of Health, Dr Dayyabu said the State Government has sustained the conduct of virtual meetings with partners for optimum coordination of program activities at all levels.

Earlier, the Emir of Dass, Usman Bilyaminu Othman who is the chairman of the Bauchi State Emirate Council on Health, said the council with the support of partners, has succeeded in enlightening the general public on primary healthcare.
