Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing succor and relief materials to victims of flood across the state, adding that measures to address the causes have been put in place.
Mohammed made this known today when he received in audience, the Managing Director of the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) and officials of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs where he appreciated the assistance provided to victims of flood disaster in the state.
The donation of the relief assistance according to Mohammed is timely adding that his administration will ensure judicious distribution to the targeted beneficiaries.
Bala Mohammed applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for supporting the Commission to provide succour to the victims in the north-east, saying the various NEDC intervention will go along way in tackling the challenges in the country.
According to Governor Bala, the establishment of the North-East Development Commission is one of the legacies of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in the North East, adding that the recent FG’s approval for the reconstruction Kirfi-Gombe Abba road is commendable.
Earlier, the NEDC Managing Director, Mohammed Goni Alkali said the Commission’s visit to Bauchi was to offer donation of food and other materials to the State Government to distribute to victims of flood and other natural disasters.
