Governor Bagudu condoles Sultan over elder brother’s death

Governor of Kebbi State Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has paid a condolence visit to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III on the death of his brother Alhaji Buhari Abubakar III Ciroman Sokoto who passed away last Thursday at Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto of an illness.

The Governor describing Late Ciroman Sokoto as God fearing, humble, upright, very religious and a person committed to the service of humanity, saying his loss was not only to the people of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states, but also to the country having contributed immensely to national development.

He prayed Allah to admit him into Aljannah Firdausi, his family and the Sultanate fortitude to bear the loss.
Responding, His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto and President General Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III thanked Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for promoting brotherliness and unity among the people of Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara states.

He prayed Allah to reward him abundantly and urged all Nigerians to sustain prayers for peace, love for one another as well as endeavours to assist the needy in this blessed month of Ramadan.

Similarly, Governor Atiku Bagudu was in Binanci Area Sokoto and condoled with Magajin Garin Sokoto Alhaji Hassan Dan Baba on the death of his mother Hajiya Aishatu, Daughter of Late Premier of Northern Region Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardaunan Sokoto who passed away on Friday of an illness.

Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu prayed Allah to grant her mercy and family Allah’s blessings.

The Chief of Staff, Government House, Birnin Kebbi, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu who accompanied the Governor to Sokoto offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the departed Muslim Ummah as well as God’s guidance to the nation’s leaders and her people.
