Gov. Namadi swears in New Commissioners for his Cabinet

Jigawa state Governor Mallam Umar Namadi, Tuesday, sworn in 16 newly appointed Commissioners who will serve in his cabinet.

The Governor charged the new commissioners to be committed and work towards the realization of his administration’s campaign promises which were encapsulated in a 12-point agenda blueprint.
.
As commissioners, Governor Namadi said their main job is to implement this agenda, saying that the task ahead is not any simple and easy, but it is doable. He tasked them to work diligently and passionately so that the become acceptable to the people of Jigawa State.

At the same time, Governor Namadi sounded a warning that he will not tolerate laxity in this assignment stressing that he will hold each and and everyone of them responsible for any infractions under his/her office.

The new commissioners and their portfolios are:

Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning

2. Prof. Hannatu Sabo Muhammad Ministry of Finance

3. Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi Kainuwa
Ministry of Health

4. Aminu Kanta
Ministry of Commerce

5. Ahmed Garba MK
Ministry for Local Government

6. Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa
Ministry of Water Resources

7. Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo
Ministry of Basic Education

8. Dr. Isah Yusuf Chamo
Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology

9. Sagir Musa Ahmed
Ministry of Information, Youth, Sports and Culture

10. Hadiza Abdulwahab
Ministry of Women Affairs

11. Col. Muhammad Alhassan (rtd)
Ministry of Lands and Regional Planning
