Gov Idris extols former Minister of Justice, Malami, SAN.

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, says, his political history is incomplete without the input of the immediate past Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, CON.

This is because the Minister has been an active positive participant since the entry of the governor into politics, his nomination as gubernatorial candidate, victory in election and ascension to power.

Dr. Nasir Idris stated this while receiving the former Minister of Justice who visited him at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, this Sunday.

The governor said, although some people might not like him to say it publicly, but as a teacher, he would continue to say the truth, thanking Abubakar Malami profoundly for facilitating the success of his political career.

Dr. Nasir Idris expressed joy that the former Justice Minister has delivered the mandate given to him by former President Muhammad Buhari with excellence, inspite of being the youngest person to occupy such position in the history of Nigeria.

The governor added that Abubakar Malami has remained good ambassador of the people of Kebbi state who has also complemented the effort of the government in uplifting the socio-economic wellbeing of the populace especially the less privileged through his philanthropy.

The Kauran Gwandu was happy that an NGO of the Minister, Khadimiyya, has provided succour to communities in all nooks and crannies of the state.

Dr. Nasir Idris, prayed Allah to open more opportunities to the Minister to continue to serve humanity.

Earlier, the former Minister of Justice, and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, CON, described his homecoming as special and exceptional.

He explained that his visit to the Government House was to share sheer happiness and joy with Governor Nasir Idris, whom he described as a friend and colleague over his victory at the polls and successful inauguration as the Chief Executive of Kebbi state.

The former Minister remarked that the governor has hit the ground running by starting on sound footing as evident in the appointment of the Secretary to the State Government who has the capacity and ability to deliver in office.

In addition, the appointment of the pioneer APC State Chairman as the Chief of Staff to the Governor is worthy of commendation.

Abubakar Malami remarked that the people of Kebbi state sent him on an ambassadorial errand for the past eights years and has returned home with good results.

He expressed thankfulness to God for guiding him successfully in the discharge of his ministerial responsibilities, extending immense appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris and the people of the state for their support to him.

The former Minister reaffirmed commitment to offer the necessary cooperation and advice to the governor in steering the affairs of the state, acknowledging that Dr. Nasir Idris, has begun the task of governance as an achiever by inspecting legacy projects started by previous administrations for completion, such as the multi-million naira new secretariat complex under construction at Gwadangaji, Birnin Kebbi.

The Governor after receiving the Minister at Government House, Birnin Kebbi on a courtesy visit, proceeded to the Emir”s palace with the Minister where they paid homage to the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, Chairman council of Chiefs, Kebbi State.
