Gov. Bagudu swears in Justice Umar Abubakar as Acting Chief Judge of Kebbi State

Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON has sworn in Hon. Justice Umar Abubakar as the new Acting Chief Judge of Kebbi State following the retirement of Hon. Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa from service.

The swearing in ceremony was performed by the Governor at the Council Chamber of Government House, Birnin Kebbi this Saturday .

Shortly after the swearing in ceremony, the governor congratulated the new Acting Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Umar Abubakar and urged him to continue in the best tradition the State Judiciary is known for.

” As provided for by our constitution, section 271 sub section 4 and 5, today you are sworn in as the Acting Chief Judge of Kebbi State ‘, he said .

While commending the Judiciary in Kebbi State for its hardwork and deligence, the Chairman of APC Progressives Governors ‘Forum reiterated that access to Justice in Kebbi was key and absolute necessity in ensuring justice.

He further commended the Judiciary in its efforts in administration of Justice which according to him had contributed to the peace the state was enjoying.

” Kebbi State Judiciary is on the march to greatness ‘, he averred.

The Governor also thanked the outgoing Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa for his contribution to the State and Kebbi Judiciary.

He described Hon. Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa as having long fulfilled an illustrous career in the Judiciary.

The ceremony was attended by the State Deputy Governor, Rtd Col Samaila Yombe Dabai, Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Babale Umar Yauri mni, Acting Head of Service Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, Commissioners, members of Kebbi State House of Assembly, Judges and wellwishers .
