Gov Bagudu approves the reconstitution of Governing Councils of six tertiary institutions in Kebbi State

Kebbi State, Governor Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has approved the reconstitution of Governing Councils of six Tertiary institutions in the State.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Babale Umar Yauri ,mni and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

The names of those appointed by the Governor to serve into the Governing Councils of the institutions are as follows :

Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero, has Senator, retired Maj- Gen. Muhammadu Magoro, as the Chairman and Pro- Chancellor with Professor M.D. Abubakar, Dept. of Biological Sciences, FUBK, Professor Umar Muhammad Tuni Dakingari, Yakubu C.Maikyau, SAN, Dr. Mrs Aisha Balarabe Bawa, Permanent Secretary Ministry for Higher Education, Sarkin Kabin Jega Alhaji Muhammad Arzika, DCG, Sambo Marafan Gwandu,( rtd), Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Entrepreneur and Linkages, Senate Representative to the Council, (4 Members) , Representatives of the Congregation, ( 2 members) as members, while the Registrar will serve as the Secretary.

Adamu Augi College of Education, Argungu has Senator Umar Abubakar ( Tafidan Kabi) as Chairman, Professor Haliru Bandiya , Dept. of Biological Sciences, UDUS, Professor Rabi Muhammad , Dept. of Education, UDUS, Hajiya Zainab Ahmad Gwandu, Representatives of NCCE,(National Commission for Colleges of Education), Representatives of Vice Chancellor, UDUS, ( on affliated degree Program s,Sarkin Kudun Ambursa, ( DH, Ambursa), Sarkin Yamman Sauwa( DH Sauwa), Permanent Secretary Ministry for Higher Education, Director of Education, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Provost, Deputy Provost, Academic, Deputy Provost Administration,Bursar, Representative of Academic Community (2 members) as members, while the Registrar will serve as Secretary.

Polytechnic Dakingari has Hon. Engineer Abdullahi Muslim as Chairman.Other members are Professor Samaila Ahmed Kyangakwai, ( Maths, Dept, UDUS), Representative of NBTE, Representative of COREN,, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Higher Education, Director Technical Education, Ministry Basic and Secondary Education, Alhaji Jafar Haliru ( Lamidon Dakingari) , Sarkin Wasagu, Alhaji Bala T. Tafida, Engineer Muhammad Kindi Zauro, Hajiya Aishatu Muhammad Dakingari, Q.S Muhammad Bandado Bunza, Rector, Deputy Rector , Bursar, Representative of Academic Community ( 2 members), while the Secretary will serve as the Secretary.

College of Nursing Sciences , Birnin Kebbi has Alhaji Haliru Bunza as the Chairman, Professor Ismail Mungadi , ( College of H/ Sciences, UDUS), Representative of Nursing Council of Nigeria, Representative of NBTE, Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Higher Education, Director Nursing Services, Min. of Health , Hajiya Saudatu Musa Argungu, Alhaji Usman Muhammad Diri, Sarkin Diri, Marafan Dole Kaina, Alhaji Muktar Yalli ( former Chairman, Nursing and Midwifery, Kebbi State), Hajiya Hannatu Musa Fakai, Mrs Atune Danga, Provost, Deputy Provost, Nursing, Deputy Provost, Midwifery, Bursar, Representative of Academic Community (2 members) and Registrar as the Secretary.

The School of Health Technology, Jega, has Abubakar Na’amo as the Chairman, Professor Tahir Muhammad Argungu, UDUS, Alhaji Tukur Yusuf Gele, , ( Kokanin Zuru), Permanent Secretary Ministry for Higher Education, Director, Health Services, Ministry of Health, Director Environment, Ministry of Environment, Representative of NBTE, Alhaji Sani Yusuf ( Fmr Sir. Food and Nutrition), Muzan Bayawa( DH Bayawa), Hajiya Fatima Muhammad, ( Yarinye), Provost, Deputy Provost Academic, Deputy Provost, Administration, Bursar, Representative of Academic Community (2 members) and the Registrar will serve as the Secretary.
