FUDECO 2022: University Don advocates for knowledge pursuit among Fulani communities.

Fulani youths have been charged to fully engage themselves in useful ventures in order to become self reliant.

They equally requested them to disassociate themselves from all forms of criminalities to have a better future.

Profesor Abubakar Abbah Tahir made the request at third Annual General Meeting of Fulbe Development and Cultural Organisation held in Bauchi.

Professor Abubakar Abba Tahir who is also the Chairman of the AGM, said fulani communities were left behind in terms of development, hence the need for them to refocus to meet the global challenges.

In his keynote address, the guest speaker at the meeting, Ambassador Hassan Jika Ardo said statistic shows that, the population of fulani communities reached sixty to eighty million in african countries are facing numerous challeglnges of insecurity among others.

He also urged parents among the fulani to encourage their wards to seek for knowledge and support the move that would enhance the lives of fulani communities.

In his remarks at the AGM meeting, the National Chairman of Fulbe Development and Cultural Organization, Alh Salim Sadu Nana said the organisation has fully trained youths on various skill acquisitions and offered scholarship and humanitarian services to the younger ones.

While enumerating some of the challenges confroting the organazation, he called on all chapters to always collaborate with the national body to actualise the set goals

The Bauchi state Chairman of the Chapter, Engr. A.U Sambo listed the activities of the organization to include awareness on national issues to the members at the grassroot ,and other services that would impact the lives of fulani communities.
