S.A on Communications to Bauchi state Governor

I am compelled to respond to the recent threats made by Minister Nyeson Wike, warning of dire consequences for any PDP state whose Governor interferes in the internal affairs of Rivers State. This thinly veiled threat is not only unbecoming of a senior member of the PDP but also a recipe for chaos and division within our great party.

Governor Bala Mohammed, like his counterparts, is a democratically elected leader with a mandate to serve the people of Bauchi State. He will not be intimidated or bullied into silence by Minister Wike’s threats. Our Governor is committed to upholding the principles of democracy, inclusivity, and fairness, and will not stand idly by while Minister Wike attempts to stifle dissenting voices within the PDP.

Minister Wike’s actions are a clear indication of his desperation to maintain a stranglehold on power in Rivers State, even if it means resorting to strong-arm tactics and divisive rhetoric. His threats are an affront to the very principles of democracy and the PDP’s ethos of inclusivity and respect for divergent opinions.

As the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed has consistently demonstrated his commitment to democratic principles and the rule of law. He has worked tirelessly to promote unity and cohesion among PDP Governors, and his leadership has been instrumental in shaping the party’s policies and programs.

Governor Mohammed’s democratic credentials are impeccable. He has always believed in the power of dialogue and consensus-building, and has worked to create an inclusive and participatory environment within the PDP. His leadership style is characterized by openness, transparency, and accountability, and he has never shied away from speaking truth to power.

In contrast, FCT Minister Wike’s threats and intimidation tactics are antithetical to the democratic values that the PDP represents. His actions are a clear attempt to stifle dissenting voices and suppress opposing views, and they have no place in a democratic party like the PDP.

As the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Governor Mohammed has a sacred responsibility to protect and promote the interests of the party and its members. He will not stand idly by while Minister Wike attempts to undermine the party’s democratic foundations and destroy its unity.

Instead, Governor Mohammed will continue to work with other PDP Governors and leaders to build a stronger, more united, and more democratic party. He will promote policies and programs that benefit all Nigerians, regardless of their region, religion, or ethnicity. And he will always stand up for what is right, even in the face of threats and intimidation.

We urge Minister Wike to focus on addressing the myriad challenges facing Rivers State rather than attempting to cow his colleagues into submission. Governor Bala Mohammed and other PDP Governors will not be swayed by his threats and will continue to work tirelessly for the betterment of their respective states and the nation at large.

In conclusion, Minister Wike’s threats are a mere storm in a teacup, and we will not be distracted by his antics. We remain committed to the PDP’s ideals and will continue to work towards a more united, inclusive, and prosperous Nigeria.
