Safe and readily available water is important for public health, whether it is used for drinking, domestic use, food production or recreational purposes. Improved water supply and sanitation, and better management of water resources can boost country’s economic growth and can contribute greatly to poverty reduction.

In 2010, the UN General Assembly explicitly recognized the human right to water and sanitation.

Everyone has the right to sufficient, continuous, safe, acceptable, physically accessible, and affordable water for personal and domestic use for us to have a society free from contaminated water.

The purpose of this is to enlighten the general public on how to use clean water in such a way that they could live in a healthy environment with their relatives and families.

Growing up in a clean and safe environment gives access to clean water and good hygiene practices but unclean and unsafety environment is the issue bedevilling our communities.

The important of clean water is to prevent and tackle the spread of diseases amongst individuals in a community.

For instance, Yanda Bayo is a village located at 11.51 northern latitudes, which has 29 kilometres away from Dambam LGA Bauchi State, That Have over 9000 inhabitants and that community undergoes tons of challenges due to their direct access and usage of contaminated water on their daily activities

Many people in that community are having no access to clean water close to their homes, which makes it difficult for them to live free from diseases

However they are aware of the implications of using contaminated water as it is the major thread that leads to transmission of diseases such as typhoid fever, , Malaria, Body pain, Rashes, Diarrhoea and other diseases but they have no option Since the only source of water they have is that contaminated one.

People do lost their lives from the danger if contaminated water than other act of violence.

Government and NGO’s are always trying to create awareness on the diseases associated with usage of contaminated water and how an individuals prevent themselves from such diseases.

As we all know that
Diarrheal diseases is caused primarily by unsafe water and poor sanitation and it Can killed a children under 5 years old than malaria, AIDS, and measles do.
