The Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency BASEPA has today Monday defended its 2022 budget estimate proposal.
The team headed by the Director General Dr Ibrahim Kabir MNES, FSEPH, FIICA (Maga Yakin Cheledi) had in attendance of all the Directors of the Agency, units head and Technical Assistants.
The exercise was conducted at the Bauchi State House of Assembly complex in presence of the budget defence committee and its members.
With the approval of this budget by the legislative arm, the Agency is set to deliver its mandates of keeping the environment clean and protected as it contains a lot of provisions for the take off of many initiatives designed by the #Newbasepa.
Bauchi state Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) was established in 1994 with the sole mandates of ensuring cleanliness and protection of the environment across all nooks and crannies of the State. As the only organ under the Ministry of Environment and Housing, the Agency serves as a reference point for all environmental and public health activities in the State.
The Agency under the able leadership of its current Director General Dr Ibrahim Kabir have become a leading factor among its sister Agencies in ensuring cleanliness and protection of the environment in the Country.
