The road project linking Dass to Toro Local Government Areas, executed by the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed, has been described as a life-changing development that has reduced a four-hour journey to less than thirty minutes.
The Emir of Dass, Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman, made this known while receiving members of the media tour team at his palace.
He explained that the road has not only improved transportation but has also boosted economic activities and strengthened social ties between the two communities.
The royal father noted that before the intervention, residents suffered untold hardships due to the deplorable state of the road, which hindered access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities. He said the new road has brought relief and progress to the people of Dass and Toro.
In addition to the road project, the Emir’s palace is currently undergoing a massive rehabilitation and upgrade, further adding to the infrastructural renewal in the area. The traditional ruler expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for considering Dass worthy of such developmental attention.
He also highlighted that a dual carriageway under construction within Dass metropolis will greatly ease urban traffic flow and enhance the status of the town.
The Emir and his subjects pledged their continued support to the governor’s vision of transforming Bauchi State.
