We are living in the country where CORRUPTION is growing exponentially, not because we dearth the paraphernalia to obliterate it entirely.

It is pertinent to note that: political corruption is a persistent phenomenon in Nigeria.
In 2012, Nigeria was estimated to have lost over $400 billion to corruption since independence.
Similarly, in 2019 the country ranked 146 least corrupt nation out of 180 countries, according to the 2019 Corruption perception Index reported by TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL

Stephen D, morris wrote that; “political corruption is illegitimate use of public power to benefit a private interest.” In light with the above demonstration by the professor of politics, we will come to understand that the political corruption is a form of dishonesty, or criminal offence undertaken by a person or organization entrusted with a position of authority, to acquire illicit benefit or abuse power for one’s private gain.

However, the smell of corruption has permeated every single angle in Nigeria, including the three arms of government. Shamefully now bribery, embezzlement and among many other atrocities are being committed, and shamelessly it seems nothing to them, and some demagogues among the so-called politicians took it legitimate in Nigerian political realm. It is widely commonplace in kleptocracies, oligarchies, narco-states and mafia states etc.

Incontrovertibly, this is quite surely not what we read in the history of our patriots forefathers whom devoted their lives serving the country unwearied. Compare to the contemporaneous gerontocracy rule, reverse is the case.

Nonetheless, The beasts (fraud-stars who have the insignia of tried-and-true on their clothes.) in political phenomenon to serve the country accurately, and for the betterment of the messes’s lives accordingly—but for their selves and their families only. In spite of the sweat, drudgery, blood, troublesome we encountered, the tears we shed and the difficult endeavors we underwent prior to their election.

Furthermore, you will come to realize the mens rea of them only after being elected. Whereas, the fake promises they’d made will no longer come into the matter of discussion anymore, despite the solemn oaths they took while wearing the solemn expression in their faces. So we will not regret for referring them as ‘DEMAGOGUES.’

More so, they took it for granted the kidnapping/abductions, banditry, rape, BH issues and among others, that are always increasing rapidly, and the worst part of it is; when some eloquent and silver-tongued among us try to make some entreaties—their efforts annoyingly falls on deaf ears. And unfortunately, their much-required-respect articles will be deemed vituperative against the government and eventually turn to hate speech according to their outmoded constitution, which occupied and play the most critical role among what is hampering the breeze of our progress in this country. For, they have no empathy, nothing in their minds about MERCY and PITY, they are unfathomable and ungraspable about the complicated lives of our messes.

In conclusion, I’m 100% in support of the efforts of some of our youth by striving to the ultimate of their capability of implementing the NOT-TOO-YOUNG-TO-RULE into Nigerian politics. Let them partake for, we Will undoubtedly taste the sweetness CHANGE we were desperately craving for as a ramification, not the one we hornswoggled and bamboozled to have by the so-called integrity.
And also, to slide-away from their(demagogues) implacable hatred they always exhibit toward the genuine patriots.

May we sail together on the same unsinkable boat.
