Commodity Exchange has been described as the major avenue toward boosting Agricultural productivity and other critical sectors

The Director General of Nigerian Commodity Exchange, Benson Olusesen Lawal made the remark at a one day workshop organised by the exchange in collaboration with Sandstone Associates Limited held at Zaranda hotel Bauchi .

He said ,it also offers an opportunities in enhancing economic diversification and reduce over dependence of crude oil .

Mr Benson Lawal noted that the exchange working with relevant bodies to promote its activities with aimed to improve the economic status of the country.

Speaking the Managing Consultant of Sandstone Associates Limited, Dan Usman said the workshop focus on capacity building on Agric ,Commodity trading,and wear house management for farmers, and other market actors .

He therefore called on the participants to make good use of the ideas gain to improve their economic status and of the society .

In his keynote address, the Bauchi state Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Garba Dahiru who was represented by the Permanent Secretary,Ismail Ahmad said the state government under the leadership of Governor Bala Muhd working with non governmental organizations toward improving the well being of the people,describing the workshop as timely.
