Christians Urged To Extend Love To The Needy In Bauchi Christmas Carol

As Christmas is few days away, Christians in Bauchi and Nigeria at large have received a charge to extend the love of the celebrant Jesus Christ, to the needy around them and become the light and salt of the world.

This formed the major messages of Dignatries at the third Chritsmass Carol of 2021 at Bogoro Local Government Council of Bauchi tagged: Year of Gratitude, Grace and Growth.

Guest Speaker at the occasion and Catholic Bishop of Gombe and Bauchi Diocese Most Reverend Dr. Hillary Nanman Dacelom said Christ is the greatest gift to humanity with a mandate to believers to offer a hand of love, peace and unity.

He encouraged the Christlians to identify with non Christians during this season and cautioned politicians against politics of bitterness.

In his address, Chairman, Bogoro Local Government Council and initiator of the Carol, Honourable Iliya Habila said Christmas is not just about meriment but influencing others to live rightly like Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world.

He pointed out that Bogoro Local Government Area is ninety nine percent Christians and as such they should let others see the behavoiurs of Christ reflecting in them.

Earlier, the Chairman Christian Association Of Nigeria, (CAN) Bogoro Local Government Council Reverend Father Vincent Bature appealed to Religious, traditional and political leaders to use the season to amplify the gospel of Peace, love and unity among one another.

He also requested that efforts be intensified in prayers for the security operatives to be able to cope and overcome the current bad security issues across the country.

The Carol was spiced up with song rendition by different denominations.
