BREAKING: Students of FGC Yauri released from captivity

Kebbi State Government has announced the released of Thirty Students of the Federal Government College Birnin Yauri by the bandits who abducted them few weeks ago.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor on Media Yahaya Sarki, the Government disclosed that the 30 Students have arrived Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital and would soon undergo medical examination before reuniting with their families.

The statement reads in part;
“Today Thursday, the 21st of October, 2021 thirty (30) students of the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri have arrived Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital following their release, while efforts are still continuing to secure the release of the remaining.

They shall undergo medical screening and support while being re-united with their families”.

“We thank all those who have helped in securing the release, while congratulating Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari for the success”. It added.

The State Government therefore reassured it’s commitment to ensure the rescue of the remaining students of the college still in captivity.
