Bauchi State Government Pledges Support for Wunti Alkhair Foundation’s New Academy

Bauchi State Government, through the Ministry of Education, has vowed to support the Wunti Alkhair Foundation in establishing the proposed Wunti Menossori Academy.

This commitment was made by the state Commissioner for Education, Dr. Jamila Muhammad Dahiru, during a stakeholders’ engagement meeting on the establishment of the charitable institution in Bauchi.

Represented by Hajiya Aishatu Ahmad Aminu, the Commissioner welcomed the philanthropic decision of the foundation to establish the school, stating that the state government is ever ready to support the Wunti Alkhair Foundation for the benefit of Bauchi citizens.

According to Dr. Aisha Bala Wunti, a director with the foundation, the school will address the educational challenges faced by vulnerable children in Bauchi State.

She added that The Wunti Alkhair Foundation has shifted its approach from providing direct solutions to societal problems to engaging with stakeholders to provide lasting solutions for development. This collaborative approach is expected to yield positive outcomes in the education sector.

While Giving an overview, International Education Consultant from The United Kingdom, Mr. Alex McGrath, explained that the stakeholders’ engagement meeting was aimed at gathering firsthand information on the bottlenecks of education in Bauchi State. This information will be used to develop a model for the activities of the new academy.

He opined that The proposed Wunti Menossori Academy aims to provide inclusive, qualitative education to less-privileged children.
