Bauchi Speaker’s Wife donates clothing materials, food items to Orphans

Wife of the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Hajiya Rashida Shehu has donated clothing materials and food stuff to orphans in Ningi.

Distributing the items to the beneficiaries in Maje, Gangaren Maje and Guddiba towns of Ningi Local Government, Hajiya Rashida Shehu said that the gesture is part of the efforts of her SABEERASH Foundation to put smiles on the faces of orphans and less privileged in the area.

According to her, the welfare of women and children is one of the top agenda of her husband Dangaladima, hence the reason she toed to the line of helping orphans and less privileged in the society.

Hajiya Rashida added that orphans are human like every child, therefore require the support and assistance of all and sundry to live a better life like every child.

She pledged that her Foundation will continue to offer helping hands to women and children so as to enhance their lives.

Some of the items distributed include 40 set of wrappers, 40 set of shadda, 48 bags of millet, 75 bags of sugar, 2 bags of sorghum and bags of rice.

In their responses, Malam Abdullahi Kore said 3 orphans are under his custody and all of them benefit from the Speaker’s Wife gesture.

While thanking Hajiya Rashida for the gesture, he prayed for the success of her husband Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman in all his endeavours.

Another beneficiary Maryam Guddiba expressed her appreciation for the gesture and pray to Almighty Allah to reward the giver and her husband.
