Bauchi NLC lauds Gov Bala for lifting embargo on employment

The Bauchi State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, has commended Governor Bala Mohammad for lifting the embargo on employment in the state Civil Service.

The State Chairman, Comrade Dauda Shuaibu made the commendation yesterday while speaking with newsmen in Bauchi, where he pointed out that the decision of the present administration to allow for the employment of youth into the Civil Service is a welcome development.

Dauda Shuaibu stated that the decision of Governor Bala Mohammad to grant approval for the recruitment of over 1,680 workers across various Ministries, Departments and Agencies across the state is long overdue considering the large number of Civil Servants that are retiring on daily basis.

” Governor Bala Mohammad has approved the recruitment of 1000, teachers of core subjects including English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and ICT as well as 154 staff at Aminu Saleh College of Education Azare. Also he granted approval for Ministry of Agriculture to recruit 206 extension workers and farm managers”

NLC Chairman rejoice with Governor Bala on his successful Inauguration as the Executive Governor for the second term in Office, saying that NLC are partners in progress towards development of the state.
