Bauchi Lawmaker Mai Rakumi Disbursed 23 Million Naira To Constituency

A member of Bauchi State House of Assembly representing Jama’are Constituency Hon. Mubarak Haruna Mai Rakumi on Sunday disbursed the sum of twenty three million naira for the execution of various projects and programmes in his Constituency.

Speaking during the presentation and disbursement of the money to various committees he constituted to execute the projects and programmes, Hon. Mubarak Haruna said that the gesture is part of his plans to leave good and lasting legacies and impact positively on the lives of his constituents.

According to him, he made several promises during his electioneering campaign to give quality representation to the people, hence his decision to keep to his words by going extra miles to provide dividends of democracy and succour to the people of Jama’are Local Government Area.

Hon. Mai Rakumi explained that he constituted various committees to implement his policies and programmes so that everybody will be carried along in the Jama’are Development Project and for easy execution of his plans, since he can’t be everywhere.

The Member who said that the money disbursed will cover the period of July 2023 to July 2024 while every year same will would be done, announced the allocation of one million three hundred thousand naira to his Committee on Health Matters to take care of all issues on diseases, medicals and other health related issues, one million, four hundred thousand naira to Education Committee for all education related matters, one million naira to Sports Committee to take care of all sporting activities in the Constituency, one million two hundred and fifty naira to Emergencies and Humanitarian Committee to take care of emergency issues that may come up, one million six hundred thousand naira to Higher Education Committee, five hundred thousand naira to Admission Committee, six million naira to Empowerment Committee, two million naira to Water and Sanitation Committee and eight million naira for logistics and incentives to members of the eight committees.

During the event, beside the 23 million naira, the Member also shared money to members of his social media team and other individuals from the Constituency.

While urging the Committees to be just, honest and judiciously use the money allocated to them, Hon. Mubarak Haruna assured his Constituency that this is just a tip of the iceberg as he will continue to formulate and implement many policies and programmes that will ensure the wellbeing and development of his Constituency.

In their separate remarks, Zonal Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Hon. Kabiru Shira, Jama’are Local Government Chairman of NNPP Hon. Ahmad Bawa, Director General Mai Rakumi Campaign Council Alhaji Umaruje Muhammad, expressed their happiness and satisfaction on the quality representation of Hon. Mubarak Haruna barely one month in office, saying he has made them and their Party proud.

They assured the people of Jama’are Constituency that they will get unprecedented transformation and dividends of democracy from the NNPP lawmaker.

Speaking on behalf of the Chairmen of the eight committees, Chairman of Education Committee Alhaji Shehu Fari thanked the lawmaker for trusting them and assured him and the people of Jama’are Constituency that they will judiciously use the money given to them with fear of God and transparency.

Also speaking, DPO of Jama’are Division of Nigeria Police Force, said that Police will follow up the activities of the Committees to ensure transparency and smooth operation of the Committees.
