Bauchi launches another flight to Abuja

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed Wednesday flagged off the commencement of flights from Bauchi to Abuja making it four times in a week by the Nigeria’s longtime airline, Aero.

During the occasion held at Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Bauchi, Governor Bala said the development will positively contribute to the economic development of not only Bauchi but the entire North East.

He said partnership with the Aero will bring more economic activities to Bauchi in line with the desire of his administration to opening up the State for investment and wooing investors.

Governor Bala therefore appreciated the Minister for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika for recognizing Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Bauchi as one of the reliable airports in the country.

Earlier speaking, the Managing Director of the Aero, Captain Abdullahi Mahmood said the Bauchi-Abuja flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays making it four times every week.

He said the new development is part of the company’s route expansion programme to contribute to the economic development of the State.
