BAUCHI GUBER RACE: NUBASS Debunks Endorsement of APC Candidate

The National Union of Bauchi State Students NUBASS has disassociated it’s self from the rumour circulated in town that the Union endorsed the Gubernatorial candidate of APC in Bauchi.

The National President of NUBASS Comrade Adamu Dauda Yashi made this known during a Press conference held at Bauchi State scholarship board.

The National President acknowledged that the union is aware of the commitment of Bauchi state government under the leadership of Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad who paid the scholarship allowances to the state students in 2022 and cleared the outstanding charges inherited from the immediate past administration in the State.

Comrade Adamu Dauda Yashi also noted that, the portal of 2023 scholarship allowances payment have been provided, and high volume of students applied where the board is currently verifying the applicants.

He added that Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir apart from paying WAEC, NECO, NABTIB also provided a new brand hummer bus to ease the hardship of transportation faced by the Union, also the governor has approved the take-off grand for the union among many others.

According to the NUBASS President, the union has not endorse Air Marshall Sadik Baba Abubakar, the APC Gubernortorial candidate as their choice, rather the union focuses on any thing that will protect the interest of Bauchi state students in an effort to strengthen educational sector in the state.

He therefore called on the entire members of the union to remain calm and disassociate themselves from anything related to causing chaos in the State, assuring students that very soon disbursement of scholarship will commence.
