Bauchi Govt empowers youths in Jama’are/Itas

Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed today distributed empowerment items to hundreds of youths and women in Itas Gadau and Jamaare Local Government Areas of the state.

Speaking during the occasion, Governor Bala said the gesture was part of his administration’s commitment towards tackling unemployment in the state.

He added that his administration has focused on the upliftment of the living conditions of citizens through the Kaura Economic Empowerment Programme (KEEP).

The Governor promised that his administration will continue to give necessary support to youths and women for the economic development of Bauchi State.

He called on the beneficiaries to properly use the items and extend support to others who have not been privileged to directly benefit from the programme.

Governor Bala therefore called for continued support and cooperation for the realization of the objectives of his administration.

In their separate remarks, the State First Lady Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed and the Speaker of the state house of assembly, Honorable Abubakar Y Sulaiman commended Governor Bala for introducing the empowerment programme, urging the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by supporting the governor to succeed.
