Bauchi State Government has donated N250 million to alleviate the sufferings of flood victims in Borno state, especially in Maiduguri the state capital.
The state Governor, Bala Mohammed, announced the donation during a sympathy visit to his Borno state counterpart, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum in Maiduguri.
Bala Mohammed disclosed that he had deployed the Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to collaborate with the Borno Humanitarian Response Squad in providing succour to affected communities, and assured Zulum that his team would remain in Borno until the situation is improved .
In his response, Governor Babagana Zulum expressed gratitude for the donation, describing it as a “timely intervention.”
He commended the Bauchi State Government for standing in solidarity with Borno State during its time of need, adding that it is a testament to the bond between the two states and commitment to humanity.
