Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has lambasted the federal government for its failure to address the pervasive hunger, anger, and severe poverty affecting Nigerians.
Speaking at the flagging off ceremony of the LGA election campaign organized by the Bauchi State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Mohammed urged the federal government to stop making excuses and provide lasting solutions for citizens.
The governor expressed concern over the recent attacks by hoodlums during the #EndBadGovernance protests, advocating for dialogue and peaceful resolution of grievances.
He highlighted his administration’s numerous projects in the state, emphasizing the need for citizens to vote for PDP candidates in the August 17 election to ensure continuity of good governance.
Governor Mohammed reiterated his commitment to supporting the effective operation of all tiers of government, enabling people at the grassroots to benefit from the dividends of democracy.
The event was attended by PDP stalwarts, including Senators Bala Kariya, Adamu Ibrahim Gumba, and flagbearers.
The governor’s remarks come as a wake-up call to the federal government to take concrete actions to address the pressing issues facing Nigerians. With the country grappling with hunger, poverty, and insecurity, Governor Mohammed’s call for action is timely and necessary.
