Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has extended his goodwill message to the people of the state on the occasion of the 2024 Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
In a Press statement signed by his Media Aide Comrade Muktar Gidado, the governor emphasized the importance of imbibing the virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him), such as peace, honesty, patience, and generosity.
Governor Mohammed urged the people to use the occasion for sober reflection and self-evaluation, to know how well they related with their creator and fellow human beings during the last year and make amends where necessary.
He also called on Muslims to pray for peace and for sustained peace in the state and the country at large.
The governor expressed concern over the current economic hardship and appealed to the people to pray for Allah’s intervention to bring an end to the calamity, also sympathized with the victims of the flood disaster in some parts of the country, especially Borno State.
Governor Mohammed reiterated his administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order, and appealed for the continued support and cooperation of the people, and warned that any act capable of causing rancour and disorder would not be condoned, and those found involved would be dealt with according to the law.
