Bauchi State Government has declared total interest to participate in the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACRESAL), a World Bank project.
The State Commissioner for Environment and Housing, Honorable Hamisu Muazu Shira made this known while presenting his principal’s interest letter to participate in the project to the Honorable Minister of Environment.
He said Governor Bala Mohammed in the letter submitted to the Honorable Minister of Environment responded adequately to all the attached questions under both Demonstrated Commitment and Implementation Readiness Criteria.
Honorable Hamisu Shira said the governor also in the letter acknowledged the Federal Government’s outstanding performance in liasing with relevant partners particularly the World Bank to handle lingering ecological issues bedevilling the country.
According to him, the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACRESAL) us one such project that has potentials to transforming the three sectors of environment, agriculture and water resources.
The Environment and Housing Commissioner said the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed will continue to welcome financial and technical support that will assist in addressing environmental challenges for economic and social development.
