BASG inaugurates Board Chairmen, tasks them to strengthen good governance in the state

Chairmen and Board members of various Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Bauchi state have been tasked to come up with a robust plan of ensuring efficiency in the management of their respective organisations.

The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Mohammed Sabiu Baba gave the advice at the inauguration of the Chairmen and Board members of the Local Government Service Commission, State Universal Basic Education Board and State and Local Government Pension Boards held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Bauchi.

Mohammed Sabiu Baba said the constitution of the Chairmen and Board members of various Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state is part of the desire of Governor Bala Mohammed to strengthen good governance in various institutions of government.

He enjoined the Chairmen of the Boards to initiate policies that will assist them to reinvigorate their respective institutions in order to ensure effective service delivery.

He enjoined them to justify the confidence reposed in them by contributing positively to the growth and development of the state.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Bauchi State and in particular, His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed I inaugurate you the appointed Chairmen and Board members.”

“With this, we expect you to assist the administration in strengthening good governance process at your levels and I directed the Chairmen to immediately hold first meeting before friday this week.

The Secretary to the State Government called on them to discharge their assigned responsibilities in accordance with the rules guiding their operations.

Responding, the Chairman of the State Pension Board, Senator Bala Adamu Kariya while thanking Governor Bala Mohammed for finding them worthy of the positions, reaffirmed their loyalty to his administration by discharging their duties diligently and to the best of their ability.
