BASEPA DG Receives Award of Excellence and Recognition by the 39th Bioremediators, ATBU Bauchi

The Director General of the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) Dr. Ibrahim Kabir MNES, FSEPH, FIICA received awards of Excellence and that of Recognition by the Biological Sciences/Education final Year students forum, 39th Bioremediators/Class of 2020 of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi.

Presenting the two awards to the Director General, Chairman of the forums comr Aliyu Adamu Bajoga said the awards were based on recognition of his outstanding performance in reshaping the Agency and for his commitments towards keeping the state clean and healthy.

The chairman also said the awards are also on recognition of his outstanding, excellence, unending efforts and supports, consideration, advancement of education, philanthropic and Youths empowerment and support to the Biological Sciences and Biological Education Students Forum.

Bajoga also commended the Director General for introducing a number of policies and programs towards ensuring cleanliness in the state, like the Sustainable Municipal Solid Waste Management Framework, that keep the state clean and healthy, tree planting exercise to fight desertification and other environmental challenges, Fumigation among others.

Responding, the Director General of the Agency, Dr Ibrahim Kabir, while thanking ALLAH, the Almighty, also express his appreciations to the Chairman of the final year students forum, the 39th Bioremediators for recognizing him for the two awards of Recognition of his performance and Certificate of Excellence as the architect of Modern Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency.

He also commended the chairman for his examplary leadership style and said the awards also gladdens his heart that the little things he is doing at the Agency is being recognized by the students and selected him for the awards.

“I received many awards in the past, but I considerthese two as very important, because they come from my friends, the students” said the Director General, he also said the awards will serve as a catalyst and a moral booster to do more.

Dr Kabir informed the students that what they’re doing currently at the Agency is just handle the crises and assured the chairman that his Agency will do more to ensure the well being of the citizens of Bauchi State and the country at large.

The Director General also pray for the students to have a colourful results, successful service year and got employed to contribute their quota towards the nation building and express happiness for their collaboration and supports to the Agency.

The Director, Inspection, Enforcement and Compliance Sanitarian Mohammed Usman Sale on behalf of the Directors of the Agency said they really appreciate them for recognizing the Director General worthy of these two important awards of Excellence and Recognition of his contributions and performance in Environmental cleanliness and Protection in the state.
