Bagudu submits names of KESIEC Chairman, member nominees to State Assembly

Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu on Tuesday, Sept.14, 2021, submitted the names of the nominees for the Chairmanship and membership of the State Independent Electoral Commissiin ( KESIEC),to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor Yahaya Sarki and made available to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

The nominees are : Aliyu Muhammad Mera as Chairman, as well as Ahmed Amadu Nasani, Mustapha Usman Ka’oje, Hon. Aliyu Ahmed Adamu and Hon. Sa’idu Moh’d Dankolo as members.

Bagudu said that, the nominations were made to pursuant to section 198 of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.

The Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum stated that the appointees are to assist him in the performance of his constitutional function.
