An NGO Donates Learning Materials to Orphans in Katsina

A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Voice of the Voiceless, Woman and Orphanage has distributed school bags, books and writing materials to orphans in some primary schools in Katsina state.
The benefitting schools were Ibrahim Shehu Shema Model Primary School, Muhammad Dikko Memorial Primary School, Sandanbale Qur’anic Model Primary School, Ahmad Coomnassie Science Model Primary School and Hassan Usman Science Model Primary School, Modoji.

In her remarks, the Chairperson of the voice of the voiceless, Hajiya Hadiza Shehu Rumah, thanked SUBEB and Katsina Local Education Authority (LEA) for providing a level playing ground for the organization.

She commended members of the public and stakeholders in the state for their immense support to the organization and called for more support for the benefit of orphans and less privileged.

Earlier, the Secretary of the organization, Muhammad Idris Rumah, said the materials given to the orphans were provided by members of the association in order to encourage the orphans in their studies.

In their various remarks, the head teachers of the schools commended the association for assisting the orphans and urged them to continue with the gesture.
In her remarks, the representative of the Education Secretary, Katsina local government, Hajiya Jummai appreciated the kind gesture and appealed to the organization to expand its activities so that many orphans will benefit from the gesture.

Some of the beneficiaries interviewed expressed delight for the development and promised to pay more attention to their studies.
