The Zamfara State Chapter of the Arewa Media Support for Asiwaju 2023, AMSA, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to graciously re-consider the appointment of Hon. Yazeed Shehu Danfulani as Executive Secretary of Solid Minerals Development Fund, as Fatima Umar Shinkafi stays too long in the office.
AMSA in a statement made available to newsmen by its State Coordinator, Comr. Ishaka Idris, says it considers it timely and necessary to make the call owing to the fact that Hon. Yazeed Shehu Danfulani has proven to be a loyal member of the party who served as Director, Youth Mobilization for the North West Presidential Campaign Council as well as the State Secretary, Contact and Mobilization for Zamfara Presidential Campaign Council. He equally contributed immensely both in kind and cash to ensure the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 General election.
“Hon. Yazeed Shehu Danfulani was also the brain and financier of One Million March organized by the Zamfara State APC youth to show their solidarity and full support to the candidature of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
As a former CBN staff and Zamfara Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Yazeed Danfulani has what it takes to spearhead the affairs of Solid Minerals Development Fund with integrity, competence and financial prudence. He is a fresh blood with innovative ideas to take the agency to the greater heights”, the statement added.
On the contrary, the statement says, “Fatima Umar Shinkafi who has served as Executive Secretary of the Fund for eight years proved to have exhausted all her ideas in managing the affairs of the office.
Similarly, as a support group and a grassroot political organisation in Zamfara state, AMSA and its teeming members cannot vividly recall any meaningful contributions given by Fatima Shinkafi both before, during and after the 2023 General Election”.
The organization urged President Tinubu to, as a matter of party interest and the interest of Zamfara Youth affirm the appointment of Hon. Yazeed Shehu Danfulani as the Executive Secretary of this strategic agency, who has shared the vision of Renewed Hope Agenda which we all laboured to actualise.
