A Kaduna State High Court 1 sitting at Dogarawa Zaria has dismissal the suit against Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru’s educational qualifications filed by one Abdullahi Isa and cleared him to contest any elective office of his choice in Nigeria.

Delivering his Judgement on Monday May 9, 2022, the Presiding Judge, Justice Kabiru Dabo said the suit lacks merit and its based on rumours.

He said, the plaintiff has no standard proof of his claim and the court only considers the best evidence that is before it.

Also, he said, the statement of results is not the issue but the certificate of attendance, which shows that one has a requirement.

The Court ruled that the Plaintiff should pay the sum of N1 million to the defendant for the defamation and a written apology to be published in the Daily Trust Newspaper for 2 days.

Responding to the Court Judgement, Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Zachious Zigwe Adamu expressed satisfaction with the judgement which is in favour of their client.
