AFRDC: Group donates foodstuffs to wives of the fallen hereos in Katsina

Katsina Focus Discussion Group a coalition of various organizations has distributed foods stuff and household to the wives of the fallen heroes in Katsina at the Headquarter of Nigerian Legion Katsina State chapter.

The chairman of the coalition Mal Bishir Ibrahim Kurfi, represented by the Deputy Chairman of the coalition Muhammad Idiris Rumah said, the coalition feel it imperative to assist the wives of the fallen heroes and some wives of ex servicemen as they are facing hardships in their lives, in this day as whole country celebrates the Armed Forces remembrance day.

He added that, it is unfortunate that general public and even government neglect the wives of the fallen heroes and ex servicemen despite their tremendous contribution in securing and maintaining the oneness of our country Nigeria.

He also call on members of public to continue assisting the wives of the fallen heroes as most of them lost their lives in serving the nation.

In his remarks, the chairman of Nigerian Legion Capt. Hashim Haruna Rtd. show his appreciation for the kind gesture.

He added that, this is the first time in the history of Nigerian Legion that wives of the hereos in katsina received this kind of gesture and appealed to general public and other sister organizations to emulate from Katsina Focus Discussion Group.

Some of the beneficiaries interviewed expressed their delight for the support and also appealed to the coalition to expand it next so that all of them will benefit
