Nigerian Consulate General to Dubai vows to strengthen students exchange programme

The Nigerian Consulate General to Dubai, Alaja Tayyibat Atinuke Mohammed has vowed to enhance bilateral agreement to strengthen students exchange programme between the two countries.

She stated this when she received on courtesy call Nigerian students from Nurul Tilawat International School, Zaria who paid her a visit at the Nigerian Embassy in Dubai.

Atinuke Mohammed said when strengthen, the two countries will benefit immensely from each other and will encourage students performance for fruitful result.

While appreciating the visit, the Consulate General applauded the management of the school for embarking on the tour.

She noted that such excursion will avail students the opportunity to interact with their foreign colleagues and enable them appreciate their choose courses of study in school.

Alaja Atinuke further stated that apart from exposeling the students to the larger spectrum of learning, they will also add practical knowledge of the larger society.

She encouraged the management of Nurul Tilawat not to relent in their good initiaves and indicated readiness to establish similar school in her home town as part of her contribution to the development of knowledge and Islamic knowledge in particular.

In his remarks, the Director, Nurul Tilawat International School, Zaria, Sheikh Gwani Nuraddeen Tahir said the aim of the visit was to expose students to Arab countries to enable students see for them some of the places mentioned in the Holy book.

While appreciating the warm reception organized by the Embassy in their favour, Gwani Nuraddeen Tahir gave a historical background of the school, bursting that the school has to it’s enrollment students from some African and European countries including france.

After the visit the Consulate General arranged for further visits to historical sites in Dubai including site of the tallest building in the world, Seaports, Airports, train stations, commercial and business centres as well as education institutions.

The Consulate General also host them on a grand dinner at Nigerian Embassy to Dubai.
