Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Muhammad Abdulkadir has called for justice and equity in the distribution of COVID-19 Palliative materials in Alkaleri Local government area of the state.

The Governor made the call during the flagging Off the distribution of COVID-19 Palliative materials to the people in Alkaleri, held at the Local government Secretariat.

Represented by the speaker, Bauchi State house of assembly Abubakar Y Sulaiman said Over 6, 500 households in Alkaleri Local Government are to benefit from the Bauchi state government’s Covid-19 palliative materials.

Earlier, the Chairman of the state COVID-19 palliative committee and the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu represented by the Chief Imam of Bauchi, Imam Bala Ahmad Baban Inna said the Palliative items are meant to alleviate the negative effects of COVID-19 pandemic to the vulnerable people in the Society.

The Emir therefore urged the COVID-19 Palliative Committee of Alkaleri local government to ensure justice in the distribution of the items to the vulnerables.

In his address, the Chairman of Alkaleri local government COVID-19 palliative Committee and also the District Head of Pali, Alh Garba Sambo said they have already work out modalities to ensure judicious distribution of the materials.

Some of the beneficiaries Muhammad Masori and Laraba Shehu thanked the Bauchi state governments for the gesture while Urging the wealthy individuals to emulate the tempo.
