The Provost Federal College of Education Zaria, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe has said that the management has revolutionized its system by digitizing the processes and employing modern information and communication technology (ICT) to create accessibility to attain the needs and grievances of staff and students.
He stated this at the 2020/2021 Matriculation Ceremony of NCE 1 Part Time held at the college’s multipurpose

hall on Saturday March 12, 2022.
Dr. Balarabe said, the college is undergoing transformation to create a more conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.
According to him, despite the financial difficulties households are facing, the college management has approved payment of school fees for NCE 1Part Time students in two (2) installments.
The Provost reminded that as a reputed teacher training institution, students must be reminded of the need to watch their moral and social behaviours from day one.
He said the purpose of teacher training colleges is to prepare fully qualified professional teachers who later help in preparing students not just to pass examination, but to live a respective lives in the community.
Dr.Balarabe noted that matriculation is a ritual of initiating new students into the academic and social life of the college, which also marks the beginning of their preparation for intellectual growth and development.
“As the college abhors any form of display of anti social behaviours, especially as it concerns examination malpractice, indecent dressing and unlawful associations and drug abuse gangs, you should embrace the path of honor both within and outside the college as it enjoys a reputation for producing excellent teachers for the nation.
“Ensure 75% attendance as it a prerequisite for sitting for examination and to avoid examination malpractice as well as devoting your time, energy and commitment to studying your books,” he said.

The Provost said their expectation is to see them graduating as teachers versed in best techniques of the fundamentals of education that would enhance proficiency and knowledge in education delivery to liberate the country from further slide in the sector.

About 2,000 NCE 1 Part Time students were matriculated for the 2020/2021 academic session.
