KEEP: Governor Bala empowers youths, women, party Stakeholders in Toro, Dass

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has launched the Kaura Economic Empowerment Program in Toro and Dass Local Government Areas of the state.

Speaking, the governor said that his administration has come up with the program with a view to alleviating poverty, indolence as well as supporting youths and women by providing them with business opportunities.

According to Governor Bala, his administration has so far empowered thousands of youth and women under the KEEP adding that the program will go a long way in upgrading businesses especially in rural areas.

He added that over seventy five million naira has been allocated for each of the twenty local government areas for the program hence the need to appreciate the gesture by making good use of the items.

Governor Mohammed told the gathering that his administration will continue to provide the state with exemplary leadership saying that more roads including Mararraba-Gumau, Rishi-Tulu and Rimin Zayam- Palama will be constructed.

He called on citizens of the state to continue to support his administration adding that it has successfully completed the construction of numerous roads, renovation and construction of health facilities, classroom blocks in addition to completing many projects abandoned by the previous administration.

Also speaking, the State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed commended the governor for changing the narrative of the state through the Kaura Economic Empowerment Program calling on beneficiaries to make good use of the items for socioeconomic development of Bauchi State.

In their separate remarks, Honorable Commissioners, Executive Chairmen of the two LGAs and stakeholders commended the State Government under the leadership of Governor Bala and called on beneficiaries to appreciate the gesture by supporting the present administration.

In attendance were the State Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Secretary of the State Government among others.

Items distributed include cash cars, motorcycles, sewing and grinding machines.
