Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state today afternoon met with the United Nations (UN) Deputy Secretary General, Hajiya Amina Mohammed, who was on a four day visit to the country, at the UN office in Abuja.

The duo along with the Governors of Jigawa and Kebbi, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar and Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, respectively, held a high-level round table meeting “to jointly reflect on the challenges facing” the North-West region “and explore ways in which the UN and international community” can support the states in overcoming them.

The high brow parley was also attended by the Deputy Governor of Kaduna state, Hajiya Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, and the Secretary to the State Government of Zamfara state.
