Taraba: TY Danjuma commissions Kuru Danjuma children Hospital in Takum

General TY Danjuma has commission a state of the art children Hospital in Takum the General was assisted by his Excellency Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku in his remarks during the occasion said he was humble to have recieved the son of Takum and his boss General TY Danjuma in his home town for this all important ceremony. He appreciated God almighty for the life of their illustrious son who is a proud gift to the state, nation, Africa and world at large. Darius said God has kept TY Danjuma upto this time so that he can continue to impact lives positively.

The Governor said as a Governor his government has built over 168 PHCs in all the wards of the state, rehabilated three hospitals in wukari, Bambur and Gembu all with state of an art equipments installed in them for sufficient health delivery to Tarabans.

The Governor reassured Tarabans of the continues fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and urge citizens to go ahead and take their own jab of the vaccines same applied to the Yellow fever. He disclosed that he will continue to encourage the traditional and religious institutions to continue on the right tracks and will always support the newly commision children hospital to enable it serve its purpose to the people of Takum and environs.

General TY Danjuma in his Speech said without the existence of the Country Director of Development Africa the hospital today wouldn’t have been possible , he thanked the Honourable minister for availing him self for this occasion. He used the avenue to extend his condolences to the entire people of Taraba over the demise of late Gara of Donga and Aku Uka of Wukari.

He also urged the people to utilise the opportunity of the hospital so as to enjoy proper health. He however warned that the Covid-19 pandemic is still very much available and people must be careful and observe the health protocols as provided by health expert.

The Honourable Minister for health Professor Osagie Ohanire said the facility is fully aligned with the vision of the president who is fully focused in providing health care for children and less privilege. While congratulating the General he commended the thoughtfulness and for guidance that influenced him towards giving back to his people and the community where he was brought up from. He said the faculty is fit for the purpose for which it was raised and will have so much positive effect on the people of Taraba state.

He applauded the Governor’s efforts in making sure that the hospital is in its proper shape and for the additional equipments he donated to cover the need of the people. Professor Osagie said there are many lesson to take home from the structures in the hospital such as the doctors Quaters ,laboratory which is comparable to any in the bigger cities of Nigeria.

The Minister disclosed that the hospital will tackle the high rate of matanal mortality and will reduce deaths as a reason of emergencies to the barest minimum. He said the ministry will like to partner with the Taraba State government in health provision so as to add the provision of health care services to the people of Taraba.

The Country director development African Mr Joshua while speaking at the ceremony applauded the General for his thoughtfulness and love towards humanity , he said building of the Hospital has brought succour to the people of Takum and its environs. He said Takum today is a city set upon the hill which can not be hidden because the Kuru Danjuma Hospital has saved lives, protected families and has giving children reason to live.

Worthy to mentioned he said is the numerous support that the Hospital has received from the Governor without which they wouldn’t have recorded this much success.
