Bagudu assures private investors of government support

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has reassured investors of his administration’s support to carry out their legitimate business in the state.

Kebbi State Government welcomes investment that would lead to creation of wealth and generate employment for the people of the state especially to the teaming unemployed youths .

The governor made the remarks this Saturday at the opening ceremony of a hotel edifice, Nugget Continental Hotel and Tours in Birnin Kebbi.

Bagudu while congratulating the proprietor of the hotel, Alhaji Garba Umar Ambursa also acknowledged the pace within which the project was completed within a span period of two years .

” On behalf of myself and state Government, we are praying for God to continue to bless you, may God also bless what you have done today.

‘ We pray that one day , you will invite us to open another investment’s in other countries “, he averred.

He urged spirited individuals in the state to emulate him while reassuring the proprietor, the state government’s unwavering commitment to supporting the establishment of private business investment in Kebbi State.

‘ It is consistent with our view that private sector should lead development and the role of government is to help private sector make profit .

‘ I can assure him that Government will assist him in whatever way possible to ensure that he is richly rewarded ‘, Bagudu assured.

Bagudu charged the proprietor of the hotel to consider sons and daughters of the state for employment in his hotel while also thanking him for the corporate social responsibility he has been making.

The Chairman Federal Road Safety Commission who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the hotel, Alhaji Buhari Bello in a remark described the opening of the hotel in Birnin Kebbi as a great milestone and progress for the people, the Government of Kebbi State, Society and Nigeria at large.

He explained that the hospitality industry was a multi trillion industry all over the world .

According to him , the tourism industry has the power to sustain more countries than oil or solid minerals which many countries depend on .

‘ majority of countries depend on tourism for sustainance and GDP.

” It is a good thing today we are here to witness the opening of the Nugget Continental Hotel Tours, a hotel of quality and industry in the state.

” I hope the services of the hotel would be expanded to major towns of the state like Argungu, Yauri and Zuru before expanding to others states, as they say charity begins at home’ he averred.

Earlier, the owner and proprietor of the new hotel edifice, Alhaji Garba Umar Ambursa expressed delight with the presence of the governor for the epock-making event.

He said he would continue to collaborate with interested individuals to invest in Kebbi State.

” I promise to join hands with like minded individuals to invest for the development of the state ‘, he said.

He happily announced an offer of scholarship to four orphans as well as carrying out other social corporate responsibilities in the state.

Alhaji Umar also declared that majority of the staff he employed in his hotel were indigenes Kebbi State.

Among important personalities who graced the event include Senate Majority Leader, Dr. Yahaya Abdullahi, Kebbi North senatorial district, Politicians, Business class and traditional rulers
